Most real estate coaching and training programs come with a high dollar price tag and a lofty sales promise. We’ve been there, took the training, and absolutely got the t-shirt. But whether you attended a mega-conference or participated in a mass-produced mastermind, odds are the tactics applied at home never quite stuck. 

SMART Real Estate Consulting found a niche in the marketplace, specifically for small to mid-size brokerage firms but adaptable for the big firms, too. Big box training has its place, but in the world of local real estate, it isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution.

Ever heard of a SMART goal? 

George T. Doran coined the mnemonic acronym in 1981 to help businesses set goals with better results. We co-opted the concept to make our own version. S.M.A.R.T. according to us stands for: Specific, Measurable, Accountable, Relevant, and Time-Bound

Every aspect of the curriculum we developed has a SMART application so agents and brokers can apply the training to their business immediately.

A Better way to Lead, A Better way to Learn

After founder Ivey Jacops left her leadership role at a top-tier franchised firm, she realized the challenge many agencies face–quality, in-house training programs at brokerages are extremely rare. And if they do exist, they require a full time dedicated broker trainer (or more) to fulfill the training, coaching, and accountability requirements of the role. 

We believed we could make something better. Something that helps agents Do Good with every transaction so they are recommended via word of mouth and earn repeat business. Something that is not one-size fits all but starts with serving clients and then focuses on growing. 

We also knew we could help brokers overwhelmed with the day-to-day duties of managing their own book of business while training, recruiting, coaching, supervising, retaining, and managing the office. 

From those initial founding days outlining our mission and purpose, we grew and expanded our programs to include additional consultants focused on specific subject matters to help agents and brokerages with what they need most.

Our Real Estate Services

Many agents will pay thousands of dollars for courses from national consultants who cannot possibly tailor their lessons to all the nuances every agent faces. And if agents cannot afford those kinds of rates, they will pay less for weak training, coaching, or consulting that will cause them to make important mistakes on contracts–leading to lawsuits at the worst and lost deals at the least. 

SMART Real Estate Consulting was created to support brokerages in Training, Coaching, and Consulting. We are brand agnostic and offer “out of the box” options as well as completely customizable packages. 

Training

Every training module follows the SMART mantra of growing a successful real estate business: Do a good job for people (“Do Good”) and serve others. We follow SMART goal setting techniques and create business plans for easy execution of the concepts learned.

Coaching

Catered to individual needs, SMART’s one-on-one coaching packages are arranged a la carte to meet the needs of each agent. Duration and coaching protocols vary depending on the needs of the client.
